Pupil Voice

Whilst valuing children's academic achievements, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop socially and we achieve this through small group work, large discussions and individual work focussing on personal and social development.

'Pupils show themselves to be considerate and showing care and respect and always being there to help.'
Pupil

We encourage postive role models within school from everyone and in particular from the children themselves, who have a strong voice to develop our school environment, their learning and leadership skills.  Everyone knows each other through the school, from the oldest to the very youngest, staff, parents and children alike.  As part of our whole school ethos we encourage and give daily opportunities for children to speak out and discuss their worries and anxieties.  This can be done through: teacher and teacher assistant chats, focussed social group or individual time, worry boxes in each class, PSHE lessons, discussions with the headteacher or through our mentoring groups shown below.  There is an environment of safety and positive mental well-being promoted throughout the school.

Pupil voice opportunities include:

  • Vibrant School Council
  • Dedicated Eco School Team
  • Enthusiastic Sports Council
  • Valued Friendship Group
  • Committed School Community Ambassadors
